Mobile Notary vs. Traveling to a Notary
A mobile notary travels to the signer instead of requiring the signer to visit a bank, shipping store, or office. The core notarial function is the same; the difference is where the appointment happens.
When mobile service earns its keep
Mobile service is especially useful when a signer is at home, in a hospital or care facility, when several people must coordinate schedules, when an office needs overflow help, or when time is more valuable than traveling to a walk-in location.
What to send before booking
Share the appointment location, preferred timing, general document type, number of signers, and whether witnesses are required. That lets the notary determine availability and the logistics of the trip.
What mobile service does not change
A mobile appointment does not turn the notary into an attorney or document preparer. The signer remains responsible for having the correct, complete document and for getting legal questions answered by the appropriate professional.
